STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God and is the only rule for faith and practice. We believe it was written by man, but inspired by God so that every word was written exactly as God wanted it to be. We believe that God has supernaturally preserved His words throughout history making the Bible the only authority on truth, faith, and morality.

We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and that these three are co-equal, co-eternal and co-essential We believe the the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have the same attributes and perfections while executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. We believe God is holy, infinite, intelligent, perfect, unchanging, and personal as well as the Creator, Preserver, and Supreme Ruler of the universe.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of all men., was buried and rose again. We believe that He is ascended and is seated at the Father's right hand where He fulfills the role of priest as Intercessor, Head of the Church, Representative, Advocate, and Bridegroom.

We believe the Holy Spirit is come to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. and that he comes to teach and guide believers into all truth. We believe that the Holy Spirit at salvation regenerates those who believe, baptizes them into the body of Christ, and permanently indwells them. He wants to fill, control and empower each believer for service in the Kingdom.

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, and also a state of innocence. We believe that in Adam's sin the human race fell and since then every person is a sinner both by birth and by practice. We believe that man's heart is desperately wicked and, of himself, is unable to remedy his lost condition. We believe that man is both physical and spiritual, and that his soul will spend eternity in either Hell or Heaven. We believe that every person must be born again in order to be forgiven of his sin and saved from hell.

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith apart from works and is available to every single person who would believe because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who shed His blood, fully satisfying the wrath and justice of God while imputing his righteousness to those who believe. We believe every true believer will be kept saved forever by the power of God and are thus secure in Christ forever; however, understanding that this security does not allow the Christian to use their liberty as an occasion to the flesh.

We accept the Genesis account as being a historic record of creation and that space, time, energy, and matter, as well as all subsequent beings, were created by God, not produced by any process of evolution. We believe that the six days of creation were six literal twenty-four hour days. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic Evolution as unscriptural theories of origin.

We believe that the privilege and responsibility of every Christian is to grow into spiritual maturity through obedience to the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit. We believe that we should demonstrate love for others, not only toward fellow believers, but also toward both those who are not believers, those who oppose us, and those who engage in sinful actions.

We believe that the true church is one body composed of all believers, with Jesus Christ as head all working together but separately to proclaim the Gospel to a lost and dying world.

We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are scriptural ordinances to be observed by the church today; however, my participating in said ordinances, no merit is given to the salvation of ones soul. We believe these ordinances are only for believers in Christ.

We believe God has ordained and created marriage to exist between one man and one woman and that God created mankind in His image: male and female, sexually different but with equal personal dignity.
